How to Increase Internet Speed using Connectify Dispatch

Now a days everyone wants fast access to internet. People really get frustrated when they have very low internet speeds. Recently we got mails from our viewers to provide a solution to increase internet speed so in response to their mails, I'm coming up with this article that will help you to increase internet speed.


In this article I'l show you how to increase internet speed by using Connectify Dispatch. Connectify developed a superb tool which allows you to combine all the internet connections that are available on your computer. By combining the internet connections you can increase internet speed without any interruptions. (You will get interruption in internet connection when you use a wireless connections. By using connectify Dispatch, you can solve that problem also by connection it to a wired internet connection).

How to combine Internet connections with Connectify Dispatch

Step 1: Download Connectify Dispatch (download link is available below)

Step 2: Connectify Dispatch is available in both free and premium versions.Select any verison you like and download it. In this article I'm using a premium version.

Step 3: Once the download is complete, install it on your computer.

Step 4: Now, connect all the internet connections that you want to combine.

Step 5: Once all the internet connections are connected to your computer, run the Connectify Dispatch.

For the demonstration purpose, I have connected my Broadband connection (3 MBPS) and mobile connection ((3G) 2 MBPS).


When we combine the above two internet connections, the overall internet speed should be around 5 MBPS,but Connectify is showing me the 9.95 as the overall internet speed!!. (Even i don't know how this came :D). But I used to get internet speed some where around 10 MBPS during less traffic times i.e. during nights from my ISP network.


Step 6: Click on Start Dispatch to allow Connectify Dispatch to start combining the provided internet connections and to increase the internet speed as shown below.


That's it! Now you can experience the increased internet speed.

NOTE: Even after performing the above steps, if you don't see any changes in the internet speed, then check settings as shown below.

- You can set also limit to the amount of data used by the computer from a given connection as shown below.

- You can assign a particular internet connection to be used by particular applications by clicking on the Smart Loading as shown below.


- This is my favorite feature in Connectify Dispatch. You can share the combined internet connection over WiFi Hotspot using the Connectify HotSpot.

How to Speed up uTorrent

Although some of them prophesied the end, in favor of hosting services, uTorrent is still one of the most used P2P software in the world. In fact, the most popular torrent client available on Windows and also among the most appreciated in Mac (along with iTransmission).

In this article I would explain a method to speed up uTorrent so that you can download files using utorrent more fastly.

How to Speed up uTorrent?

One of the most effective ways to speed up uTorrent is to use the Settings wizard included "standard" in the program. It is a procedure through which uTorrent detects real-world performance of your Internet connection and adjusts to these limits download and upload speeds, the maximum number of simultaneous connections, and other parameters that can affect the speed of downloading files.

Steps to Speed up uTorrent

Step 1: Connect your PC to Internet.

Step 2: Open uTorrent, select the Setup Guide from the Options.

Step 3: In the window that opens, make sure there are check marks next to the options Bandwidth, Network and Automatic Mapping port and click Start the test to proceed to test the connection.

Step 4: Once the above configuration is done, if you see two green check marks appear on the right side of the window of uTorrent, everything went in the right direction and application parameters were adjusted in an optimal manner. Just click Save & Close to apply the changes.


Note: If you see one or two "x" red appear, it implies that there are connection problems. This means that you have to configure uTorrent in your router (if the "x" appears next to the phrase band only,then simply try to select another server from the drop-down menu and restart the test).

How to Configure uTorrent on Router?

To Configure uTorrent on the router,you must make sure that the device allows the application to communicate with the network by "opening" the door that it uses to handle torrent files. If you do not know how to do it, follow these steps.

Steps to Configure uTorrent on Router

Step 1: Go to the menu Options >> Settings in uTorrent and select the  Connection from the sidebar on the left: the value you have set in the router is the one indicated in Port used for incoming connections.


Step 2: Now open the browser and connect to the configuration panel of the router by typing the address 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 . When you are prompted to enter a username and password, if you do not know what data to enter, try one of the predefined combinations: admin / admin or admin / password . If that dint work, consult your device manual to find the correct data to be entered.



Step 3: At this point, you have to proceed to the so-called "open" ports in the router to speed up uTorrent.

Note: It is a procedure that varies from device to device, so I can not give you very specific directions about. Generally, you should go to the section of the control panel of the router for the configuration of the LAN connection (or alternatively in the areas firewall or sharing of games and applications ), start creating a new virtual server (or a new rule of the firewall) and set as public port and local port (or initial port and end port ) the port used by the application to communicate with the network.

Alternative method to Speed up uTorrent

Another very effective method to speed up uTorrent that you should apply (when possible) is to use Torrent files with a large number of peers , i.e. sources, to their credit. The higher the number of people who share a file and, in fact, the faster the download.

To find out what torrents with more peers you can use search engines like Torrentz , which allows you to search any type of file on all major Torrent sites. In this way, you can quickly discover which links are more reliable and faster.

Most of us have come across a situation where we are asked to fill in our phone numbers in order to complete the registration process in few websites or to do some works. These sites send us a verification code to our phone numbers and this code should be entered in the website in order to complete the registration. Step 5: Now enter the verification code that you have received by following the above steps and complete the registration process. That's it!

Caution:

Do not use these online numbers for any banking purposes or for your e wallet as this can prove to be very dangerous for the user. Also use this technique of SMS bypassing only at certain times and because this verification process provides a  important security cover for all users.

How to Block Ads on Android Apps, Games & Browsers

Ads are the most distracting things for most of the internet surfers.Most of these ads are irrelevant to many people. Recently, ads started to appear even on smartphones and tablets not while surfing the net but also while playing games and using some apps.There are so many extensions available for the users to block ads on android apps, Ad Block Plus is one of the most popular extension that is available for android users.

In previous post, we have written an article on downloading play store apps on pc. In this post we try to explain two methods to block ads on android apps,games and browser.

How to Block Ads on Android apps, games and Browser?

We have a trick that is used to block ads in windows Operating system and we can use the same trick on Android smartphones too, that is hosts file trick.

Step 1: We have collected some websites which shows ads on android apps, games and saved them in one text file, you need to download that text file.

DOWNLOAD | Hosts file

Step 2: Once the file is downloaded, you should change the file name to hosts.

Note: If you don't change the file name, then this trick will not work!

Step 3: Once the file name is changed, transfer that file to android system folder.Inside system folder, navigate to /etc folder and then paste the hosts file that contains list of websites that show ads on android apps and games.

Step 4: Now, rename the file name from hosts.txt to hosts.bak because there would be one hosts file already in that directory. 


Instead of renaming the file, you can just copy all the websites from hosts file and paste the websites list in your smartphone system hosts file which is in /system/etc folder.


Note: To paste the hosts file you should have the administrative rights, if the above trick doesn't work then you need to root your android mobile. If you don't know how to root an android phone, you can check my guide on rooting android phone, this will help you.

Step 5: Once all the above steps are completed, restart your smartphone and see whether ads are blocked or not.Most of the ads will be removed with this trick, but it still needs some improvements. We will add some more websites to this list in future.

Block ads on Android apps, games and browsers using Adblock plus for Android

This is a simple and useful method to block ads but you require to do some configurations. You can download adblock plus for android using the below link.


If your android mobile is rooted, then install this app with superuser permissions, then it'l work effectively. If your android device is not rooted, then you need to additional configurations like manual proxy setting. You check those configuration details from adblock plus website. (Settings for Non Rooted Android Samrtphones)


Block Ads on Websites with Adblock Plus Firefox Extension

If the above explained process seem tedious for you, you can use Firefox extension to blcok ads on websites only. For that you need to download adblock plus extension for Firefox using below link.


After installing this extension, just restart your browser and check ads are appearing or not.

How to Download Play Store apps on PC without any software

Everyone knows about android operating system as it is widely used by most of the  smartphone users and it is leading Operating System in mobile market as of now.  One of the main reason for Android OS to become popular is because it is a free  operating system and allows users to access file system and also due to the  availability of large number of apps and games.

You can download these android apps from your Google Chrome browser also, to do this, you need to install APK Downloader chrome extension. After installing the APK Downloaded chrome extension, you need to give details like your device id, Google Play store log in details.

How to Get Device ID of Android Mobile?

 - To know your android mobile id you need to try *#*#8255#*#* from dial-er.

 - If you want to know the device id of your android tablet, then this method does not work, to know the device id of your android tablet, you need to install Device ID android app.

You can perform 3 Options:

1. Ring: If you select on the Ring option, then your device will start ringing even though it is silent.

Note: This feature will not work if you mobile is switched off.

2. Lock: Selecting Lock option, allows you to lock your device and you can get a new password to access your device again.

3. Erase: Selecting Erase option allows you to delete total data from your device automatically.

Note: If you select erase option, all the data including Android Device Manager would be erased and hence you cannot use it again.

Here are some useful tips using which you can drive traffic to your blog/website using Reddit.

1. Quality Content

- Two things that Reddit do not encourage are, content being re-posted and submitting low quality content. So make sure that the links that your are submitting are of good quality so that users can up-vote your link and thereby you can increase you karma score.

- Posts with Deceiving Headlines will not fetch you good results in Reddit and may sometimes leads to blocking your account.

- Don't submit links from only your site, if you do that Reddit considers your account as a spam. One special feature of Reddit is that it fights spam using active accounts i.e. even though a user's account has been banned by Reddit, it still allows the user to log in with his credentials and the user can normally submit the links to Reddit but they won't add any value to the community.

Note: To check whether your account is existing or it's been banned by Reddit, once you log out from your Reddit account,Type in the following URL in the browser:
www.reddit.com/u/your_username
When you enter this URL, if you see a screen shot something like this, then your account has been banned by Reddit!

- Link submission is a great way to drive traffic to the blog but in case you want Reddit’s opinion on a certain topic, you can ask via submitting a text post.

2. Choose appropriate SubReddit

- Dont just submit your story or link to some random subreddit, it won't fetch you result.
- You need to do some research to choose a correct subreddit that can drive traffic to your blog/website.
- First, search for the subreddit that matches the content of your link. For example, if you have written an article that is related to Android Apps like How to block websites on Android, then you should search for subreddits related to Androidapps.


- Before posting or submitting the link, read the rules of the subreddiit carefully.
- Make sure that the subreddit that you choose to post the link, has good number of subscribers.
- Try to post the link to the selected subroutine at a time when you see maximum number of online members in that subreddit.
- Try to participate in the discussions and up-vote articles that were posted by others on that subreddit.

Traffic is important for all blogs/websites and as I described in the previous post (about Keyword Research guide for bloggers), major source of traffic comes from search engines like Google. But what if you have just started the blog recently, posting good content and still not getting enough traffic? If any of you are facing this issue and looking for a solution to get traffic, then you are at the  right place.In this article, I'm gonna suggest you 8 tips that would boost/increase blog traffic.


How I Increased My Blog Traffic from 80 to 400 visitors in few days:


Many new bloggers started asking me how I increased the blog traffic within few days. To  answer all those people, I decided to write a post explaining, how I increased my blog traffic.

1. Content is King

As most of the bloggers say, Content is King. If you have good content then you'l  automatically get genuine traffic.There are many new bloggers who copy the content from other blogs/websites. Please don't do that, If Google detects any copied content on your website then it will penalize your blog. Instead of copying content, try to write  articles on your own (one article per day is sufficient if your blog is new) and once you  do it, Google will index all your pages and within few days you can see an increase in your blog traffic.

NOTE: Search Engines can index your blog pages only if you submit your blog to search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo etc

2. Social Media

Most of the newbies spend most of their time in searching about the softwares to increase traffic and for link building, but the real traffic source, next after the search engines is Social Media. You can drive huge amount of traffic from social media sites like Facebook, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Twitter etc. Initially I totally depended on Facebook and Reddit to drive traffic to my blog and later I researched about some SEO Techniques and I started applying them on my blog and it worked like a charm!

3. Building Backlinks

  • The best and most safe way to get backlinks is by guest posting. 
  • Find out the websites that provide guest posting opportunities, try to offer them a post and demand 1-2 backlinks from their website/blog.

  • Another safe way to build backlinks is by commenting on CommentLuv websites and get a  backlink from their website.

4. Submit your Blog to search Engines

Even though your blog is having good content, it would be of no use unless you submit your blog to search engines, so that web crawlers will visit your blog and index your  blog posts.

Note: It is better to submit your blog to search engines as soon as you create it. 

5. Use Proper Keywords in your Post Title

How to Submit Blog or Website to Search Engines: Google & Bing

If your blog or website is not getting any traffic through search i.e. organic traffic, then one thing that you can do is to submit your website (custom domain site) or blog to search engine giants like Google, Bing etc, so that your blog or website will be indexed by the search engines and thereby traffic to your blog or website can increase considerably. If you have started a new blog or website recently and if you are spending most of the time in increasing blog traffic using social media sites like Facebook, then you are doing wasting your time because most of the traffic to blogs or websites comes from search engines like Google. So it is important to submit your blog or website to search engines as early as possible after setting up your blog.


Submit your blog or website to Google:

Step 1: Go to Google Submission Page

Step 2: There you can find a screen like this:


Step 3: Enter your blog or website URL in URL box and enter the captcha code as shown above and click on Submit Request.

That's it! Your blog or website has been submitted to Google search engine.

Submit your blog or website to Bing:

Step 3: Enter your blog or website URL of your homepage in the URL box and enter the captcha code as shown above and click on Submit.

How to Setup Custom Domain on Blogger

Good News to all our readers! As a founder of TechStorms, I'm glad to inform you that our blog TechStorms has moved to a new domain TechStorms.in. As we have redirected from blogspot.com  to a TLD (Top Level Domain) recenlty, we would like to explain the steps that are to be followed while redirecting from blogspot.com blog to custom domain,so that it would be helpful to all our loyal readers and bloggers.

How to setup custom domain on Blogger?

Step 1: First thing to be done before performing a redirection to a custom domain is, get a domain name that is suitable for your blog. (You can visit godaddy.com,bigrock.com etc to purchase domain name)

Step 2: Go to blogger.com, log in with your details and move to Settings >> Basic

Step 3: In Basic page, Under Publishing area, click on Add a custom domain and enter the domain name that you have purchased from the above mentioned sites.



Step 4: When you enter your purchased domain name for the first time and clicked on Save, you will get an error message like this:


Don't worry, we'll resolve this error very soon. Make a note of the information that is  provided by that error prompt because it would be used while configuring the DNS. 

For example, if you have purchased your domain name from Godaddy.com, you will be given an account using which you can reconfigure DNS settings.

Step 5: Go to Godaddy.com and Sign In with the your credentials.

Step 6: Click on Launch button which is next to Domains and follow the directions as shown below.



Step 7: For the domain name that you want to use it with your blogger,click on Edit Zone



Step 8: In the CNAME (Alias) section,click on www record. In the points to field, clear all the details and type ghs.google.com. 


Step 9: Now enter the second CNAME also in the same way and Click on Save Zone File. (Refer to second image in this post, a string with random characters below www. It will be unique for each blog.)

Step 10: Once this thing is done, its time to change the A records, which links to your naked domain (like yourdomain.com) to actual website (like www.yourdomain.com)

Step 11: Enter your domain name (like yourdomain.com) and list all the IP addresses shown below in the "A" section.


Step 12: Once all the above configurations are done, go back to Blogger.com and click on the Save button.
Note: It might take up to 24 hours for the redirect to start working so please be patient and try repeatedly until blogger finally saves all the settings without giving any errors as shown below (This is a screen shot from my blogger account).
